    Newbie needs profound help.

Newbie! I need help creating a simple and small database that I can search. The fields I require are first name, last name, phone, address, town, job skill. I would like to be able to create a query where I can enter the term job skill and it will return those people that have those skills. I am volunteer who works in a small town that helps adults with their literacy skills and find employment. Needless to say with the economic downturn we have many more adults seeking to improve their literacy skills to find employment and increase their life chances and their kids. The database would be extremely helpful if an potential employer calls and says I am looking for this particular job skill. If anyone can assist me with step by step instructions or would even like to design it for me great.
