    Datasheet Form

I am trying to set up a datasheet form for my folks that pulls its data from a query. Main reason being that the network is insanely slow at this moment and until it gets fixed it is a huge problem with using the full database. The problem I am running in to is that when I create the form 1 of 2 things happens:
It will not allow fields to be edited
    or
When I change the properties to 'Allow Edits: Yes' all of the records vanish and the sheet is left blank.

    Any ideas?

what are the other form properties? allow additions, deletions, filters, dataentry?

How many records are you talking about? perhaps bring through a smaller dataset? - in terms of number of fields, number of records

How efficient is the query on its own?

If criteria are being used - are the relevant fields indexed?

Does your table have lookup or multivalue fields?

    Have you compacted the db?

is the db split into front end on your folks machine and backend on the network? if not, why not?
