I'm trying to secure my database. I have disabled the shift key and special access keys and hidden the Ribbon. Is there a way to keep a User from opening a Tabbed Form, right-clicking, and selecting Design?
Thanks, Eddie

yes - by creating a .accde - the only way.
At a lower level you can disable menus at various levels in File>Options>current database - but you can't be that selective so users may lose the menus for sorting, filtering etc
Okay, I'm going to mark this as solved as I found a way to accomplish my objective, which is to keep users from poking around where they don't belong. So, although I can't keep the operators from right clicking the Form's tab and selecting Design, I can tell when a form is in Design mode from another Form or Module. I have a Form that is opened when the Database opens, it calls the Main Menu form and makes itself invisible. While it is sitting in the Background, its Timer Event triggers every 60 seconds. That Event examines all Open Forms and if any are in Design Mode and if the User isn't a Developer, then the action is logged and the Database closes without a Warning. Hope this helps someone. Eddie
