Thanks again for the update.
Thanks again for the update.
Random update, not one locking issue so far since these last updates. Consistently 50-100 people on it processing 1000+ records daily in 10 hours m-f.
Thanks again!
RuralGuy or cdscivic I am really hoping either of you can help me with this issue. I have the exact same issue as cdscivic where I have an access database which is used by about 50 people simultaneously and usually at least 4 times per week at some point everyone will get the "Could not update; currently locked" error. Reading through this post it appears that cdscivic had the same issue and it related to macro's built into the table. I have the same where I have a AfterUpdate macro in a table that posts a user name and timestamp in a separate table when a field is updated. It sounds like that's causing the issue and the resolution is to move the DataMacro to a forms BeforeUpdate event. However I have looked into this and can't work out how to move that macro to the form rather than it being situated in the table. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ok thank you CJ for your response, not used this site before and not used to writing on forums. I will create a new thread.
