    Attachment for photos

    Hey Guys,

I don't have an attachment data type in access on the version I use. I need a field that will allow photos so users can attach that to the field. How can I do this?

    Thanks!

The attachment field type should be avoided in my opinion. It adds to bloat.

For a novice the field to use is the Hyperlink field type. It is a little quirky to work with as a user - but once you know it it is okay.

For a developer the field to use is a text field with the FileDialog code. This results in just a text field stored in the DB so there is no bloat and it is much easier to code/parse if that is ever needed.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
