    Angry Creating a Table from a Form in Access 2010

    Hi Group;

    I have been racking my brain trying to figure out the following:

    I have an existing form in Access 2010 that I rearranged and changed to included more fields. The problem is my Table, that used to update with all the new info, did not update with those new fields added to the form. How do I create a new Table from the newly modified Form?

    Thanks

    You can't, this is a backwards way of thinking.

    OK thanks for that...so when I add a field to the Table, how do I update the existing Form from the table. I know I cant just click save and then magically the form is now updated?

    Nope. The normal order is to add/delete fields from a table. Then modify the query, then modify the form - add/remove controls.
    There is no "Poof! The form magically updated." It is a manual operation.

    I say "modify the query" because my forms are always based on a query, not a table.

    what you should have done is that add fields to your table on the backend ... then click on design ==> add existing fields while staying in the design view of your form. Now see for the same table on the right window and just drag and drop fields on your form. Now run the form and you have your fields on your form. You don't create form first rather a table is updated first and then forms. Thanks
