Editable drawing section on form as part of record?

Could someone please point me in the right direction on how to (if possible) put a "drawing object field" on a form and where the end user would be able to pull up their record and in this field be able to take the mouse and draw their name. Is it even possible?



As you can see what I am looking for it's an electronic signature..... Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not aware of that type of object, though perhaps there's an ActiveX object. I use Topaz signature pads; they have an ActiveX control and a sample db.

you could try visiting Stephen Lebans website, he has lots of examples of working with graphics, although nothing springs to mind to meet your requirement.

I've used vba to create graphics saved as bmp of jpg files before so I'm sure it could be done, but these were images created from data (so no drawing no screen) - and have you tried drawing your own signature in say ms paint? Hard enough using your finger on a touchscreen, let alone a mouse.

If you need an image of a signature, suggest you scan peoples signatures in

If this is some sort of authorisation - perhaps provide them with a password/key?

Alternatively google something like 'vba draw with mouse' or similar to see what other may have tried
