    Conditional formatting for combobox

    Hello all!

Is there any way to change the format for specific records only, that are listed in a combobox?

    Thx!

You mean of the combo itself, or records that appear when it's dropped down? The second I don't think so, the first yes, with Conditional Formatting on the ribbon.

As for the combo, I agree. I read about tricks where you substitute a continuous form, which you set alternate colors or use conditional formatting, but it would be a lot of work. It involves a command button/textbox pairing and a subform control under it. You'd have to open form with sub invisible, calculate the subform record count, apply a height based on that and show the subform on button click, which possibly now has its own scroll bar. Subform - no border, nav buttons etc. and is only as high as one control row. Then you need a record level event to move the selection to the textbox and hide the sub again, which BTW, has to be set to the forefront lest it appear behind controls below it. A whole lot of work for not much gain.
