    Database Question

I'm trying to remember how exactly to make a database in which I can search categories by sub-categories. I.E. I have 5 storage units (categories), the things inside the storage units (sub-categories). So if I search for, lets say, Victorian Dining Table and I have 1 at 3 different storage units it will bring up the storage units with those tables only. I just want a direction to be pointed in so I know I'm on the correct table and not wasting my time. I have made a table in excel but it will soon grow beyond being able to be viewed and processed logically.

    Thanks

1 table for storage units, keyed on [unit#]
1 table for whats inside the unit, [unit#] is FK
