    Excel formula to Access

I need to insert the equivalent of the following formula into an Access DB.

    Excel: =Left(cell,3)

    Access: Left(BillingReference,3)

I am looking to pull the first 3 numbers from the value in the field BillingReference into the field Acct.

The formula looks correct; what are you having trouble with? I wouldn't save the value if it's always the left 3.

I am very new to Access and I was just having an issue finding my way around. I have it working now. It is a slow learning curve.
