    saveas in access vba

    Hello

    Is there to save an access database programmaticaally with a new name

    I am creating a monthly reporting database which will generate new reports each month. I need the user to open the previous months set a new date, and the code will save the database with the new date in the name clear out the last months data and import some new data

    I have tried eveything but cant solve it

    Any ideas

    I'm not seeing why you would want to do this? Is there a reason against naming the database a static generic name and making the navigation on the forms date-based and in doing so, keeping historical data?

    Generate the reports as you are eacho month, export it as whatever you want, and have the pdf, etc named with the date with some VBA.

    I agree with Shabz. It sounds like you are thinking with Excel mentality...
