    VBA vs Macros

Just a general question... what is the best way to handle operations in DB, VBA or Macros? I seem to enjoy VBA more as it gives me more room for functionality and experiments.

    Regards,

    Evgeny

Personally I prefer VBA. 2007 increased macro capabilities some and 2010 even more, but I feel VBA is still the winner overall. If you're going to use the web functionality of 2010, you'll need macros though.

VBA all the way. What better way than to embed some office prank deep in the VBA you write that nobody else can descipher? Last friday all my users were greeted with a form that reminded them that mother's day was coming up and unless they checked the box promising they would do something special for their own mother or mother of their children, the database would be useless for them.

On a more serious note, I find VBA to be more flexible and more portable. I can save code snippets and copypasta as needed.
