Trying to average two test scores using query

Here's the breakdown. Every month we have management fill out "Call listening forms". They use these forms to grade phone calls based off tone, asking for certain things, etc. They take 2 calls each month per Rep. The scores are out of 100. So lets say I score a 90 on one and a 100 on the other. How can I report on this data using an average call score.

Have you tried building a query using the Query Designer? You can turn a SELECT query into a totals query by clicking the Sigma icon within the Ribbon. Then, go to your field you want to average and select 'Avg' from the Total row within the Grid.

Or build a report and using its Sorting & Grouping features with aggregate calcs in group footer. This will allow display of detail records as well as summary calcs.

Thank you both for the replies, the query option is what I would like to do, but I still can't manage to make it work. If I turn the "sort by" to AVG It still shows two records (for each call graded). I need to have the two scores/ two records combined into 1 record. June7 the report does work but hoping to find the query solution.

What do you mean by change "sort by" to AVG? In an aggregate (Totals) query the function is selected on the Total row of the query designer grid.

Did you select the Sigma (Totals) icon from the Query design tab?

I am thinking post #5 addresses the issues that need attention.

Right, once I click the Totals button a new row comes up labeled "Total:". I have tried putting the score into Avg but nothing.

You select AVG under the Score field? Post the SQL statement of attempted query.

got it to work, made a query, then put that query into another query, and then again. Bit of a process, I'm sure there is a better way but this will work hah.

Thank you for all the help. How do I make this solved and give you credit for the help?
