I have a main form that has a navigation subform which has forms that may have subforms or tabbed subforms.

In this case, how do I reference the navigation subform controls. I can't even find anything in the builder as you can see in the screenshot above.

Basically the problem is that I have a few combo boxes that are being queried by the subforms through expression like this forms![subform]!combo. If I type this way the initial opening of the form will ask for the parameters for the combo. If I cancel the subform shows no rows.

It was working all before I ventured into tabs and navigations (to ensure that the application window is controlled with a single theme and window)

if there is a better way to do this please let me know.

I use tabbed control because sometimes i want to add a single flavor on multiple products and other times all flavors to a single product. each tab contains two subforms one being readonly query that creates the product name based on the criterias while the other form lists all current products that have the same criteria.

i tried to use child master links but this doesn't work for null values (when I want all flavors)

After a bit of google and a lot of fiddling I have come to the realization and hence solved this that the control doesn't even look at whether it is in tabs or which form. If its part of a parent form I just changed everything to [controlname] without any forms or subform. This worked perfectly.
