    Formatting Question

I have a question regarding formatting. While in design view, I am trying to format some of my fields as "General" with one decimal. Some fields give me "general" as an option in the drop list of the format field. Other fields don't give me any options at all when I click the drop down arrow. Any ideas?

I would guess it depends on the data type of the field. A text field wouldn't give any formatting options.

If you are using decimals, a quick fix would be to set it as "Accounting" with no Symbol and move the decimal place to .0 , I've run into the same issue when trying to use decimals in calculated fields, and that was how I fixed it.
