Exporting a report to Word is corrupting some Accented characters

I am trying to export a report to Word. I am using the Calibri font. Whenever I have any accented letters, such as CAFÉ, it is coming in as CAFй. I assume it is a problem with the unicode, but how do I fix this?

An update. It exports fine to HTML, if I use Windows encoding or UTF 8. It works fine if I export to text using Windows or UTF 8. Exporting the Word does not ask me which encoding I want (since it is using RTF).

Also, If I paste CAFÉ directly into my Word document, it is displayed properly.
