    Opening forms side by side

I currently have two forms designed to open side by side. I use the DoCmd.MoveSize method to ensure they are right next to each other without space in between. I have to manipulate it several times to get it exactly. With this method, I notice two inconveniences, (1) When I change the size of the left form, I have to readjust the code of the right form. (2) When I open these forms with a laptop versus desktop, the forms overlap each other. So, I guess I should code it in such way that the location of the right form would be determined dynamically based on the width of the left form? Would that be the right way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? If affirmative, what are the codes?

Maybe you should place these forms on another form.

That's not a bad idea. I wish I had thought of that earlier because I have already written quite a lot of code and queries to pull data from the controls of one form and feeding another. I'm sure it's just a matter of changing the syntax to reference sub forms?

Why do you need to 'feed' date from one form to another?

Well, one form (with numerous parameters) is designed to provide filter to another form, so basically the user can enter a bunch of criteria and click search. Once the search is clicked, the other form displays the results. I guess your next question may be why have two separate forms. Well, I don't quite know why I went down that path, but let me try to combine all the control into one and see how it goes. Perhaps I'll find out why I did it in the first place.

Form could be in Continuous view and controls arranged to appear as Datasheet. This will allow search controls to be placed in form header section.

Or have subform in Datasheet and search controls on main form.
