Access Randomly only opens up in Read Only Files [2007][Vista]

    Hi Everyone,

I have been working on a database project for about a month now and when I came home from work it randomly won't let me edit it. It also will no let me edit an sample databases or create a new blanks database . Unfortunately for me I must have skipped school the day they taught about the importance of hard drives. I am using Access 2007 on a Toshiba computer with Access 2007, it was a hand me down after my mac bit the dust. What are some things I could do to check whats going on. I have tried the trusted location settings, clicked the enable content when it first opens up as well as opened the database properties tab but all the boxes are un checkible, the read only button is checked here but I can unlick it. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks In advance!

I have no idea how this can be a 'random' issue.

Does this always happen with the same database?

    What 'read only' button?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
