How do I make a search like this?

I want to be able to make row searches for multiple sets of characters at the same time.

The default setting cancels a row if I have inputed a set that is not on that row.

Something that could be used in a store or by a lawyer looking for specifics.

So these are what I am looking for:

    Primary
1.) I want any row with any of the words I type to show on the results.

2.) I want the rows with the most matches to show up first.

    Secondary

1.) Recognise sets of characters that are close to what I type to make up for spelling errors and typos, prioritize those that are closest.

2.) To be able to choose the rows I want and add them to another list quickly where the summing cost will be calculated in the last raw (multiplying the price of a row by how many the customer wants would be helpfull)

I basically just want Primary#1, the rest would be great but that is absolutely necessary and I can't find it.

As far as I know, you cannot make row searches in MS Access, as there are no 'rows'. Each part of your presumed row is a separate field. Sorry mate, looks like it's going to be way more complicated than you think

    cheers

I'm not sure I'm following "row search". I added a post to the code repository a while back. You may get some ideas from this search sample.
    Good luck.

So do you want one unbound text box to search every field of your table for whatever you begin typing into it?

If its a report for final format type [Reports]![YourRptName]![QueryCriteriaField] in unbound txtbox.
For a 'row search' I think you would have to include every field in your query assuming you want everything to show up for a specific result. What kind of field are you searching for when you type stuff in?
