Transposing row to column in Access 2010

I have a table which includes a field for employee_name and employee_type. I need to transpose my four employee_type options (VP, Director, Manager, Analyst) to columns and then have the associated employee name fall under the correct employee type. Employees are assigned at the client level (Client_ID) but may have multiple projects (Project_ID), all of which have different $ figures. To add to the fun, there is no set number of employees assigned to each client, so sometimes there may be 1-3 managers/analysts...or none at all!

Does not necessarily need to have the employee type title in the columns, could just be emp_type_1, emp_type_2, emp_type_3 and so on if necessary.

    Example file attached.

    Thanks.

create a query to gather the data you want.

then use the query wizard, tell it to make a CROSSTAB query on the query above
    select the row values
    for column values choose empType
for the values, choose empName (as FIRST, not count)

A CROSSTAB query is generally used to transpose (de-normalize) data. However, your data can have multiple employees for the same type for each project. Cannot generate 2 Manager fields. If the types were Manager1 and Manager2, then there would be column for each.

Easiest approach for a report is to use Grouping & Sorting and just display info vertically.
