Strange Icon appears on screen with report

I have a file that is several years old. I make mods every now and then. For some reason, I am now getting an icon on screen whenever I open a report. It doesn't print, just shows up on screen. I imported a copy of the report from an older file that didn't have this weird display, but still does it in the new file. Is it something I did or is there something wrong?

I have attached it. Any help much appreciated.

I have never seen that. Where exactly on screen does it show - within Access window, within report? Does this happen if file opened on another computer?

It appears about one third of way down on left-right center. You can move the report around and it stays in same place. I am using A2007. I tried it on another machine with A2003 and still happens.

Add on- I have several "reports" that are reference diagrams that I created. They have no source query or table. These don't show the weird icon.

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

I got one of the old db files that didn't have the problem and imported the problem reports. There, the weird icon does not show up. Now I have the fun of updating other things in the old file.

It must be some corruption in the program?

There is a lot of confidential stuff in the file, so not comfortable with sending it out. If you want to look at it, I can remove some things and send it.

Thanks so much for the rapid response. I don't know what I would do without this site.

Corruption is a possibility. Provide file only if you still need help.
