Unhappy looking for Insurance's policy tracking DB template

    hello,
I'm new to Access and I'm looking for Insurance policy's tracking database template that can help me track, update, follow up, get reports etc... about the policies which I hold.

I hold policies for Individuals & corporates
Polices are 2 kinds, Annual (renewable) OR Periodical (Extending)
Polices types are many and most of them are different than the others
Each policy should have it's claim record and meeting record etc ...

has anyone worked in a template like this ?

How do you manage these now?
There are some free models here that may help.

What you are describing here is a custom application. For instance, tracking loss runs is its own thing. What you have outlined is combining several different tasks that belong within their own modules. In other words, you will not find a single template that does all of this.

Having said that, I have not found a template that is turn key. If you are lucky, you can buy an off the shelf solution. Otherwise, a template is only going to provide you with ideas how to create your own app.

This is very common. Companies use the resources they have available at the time of their need. Employees that understand Excel and have it at their workstation, get the job done and then go home for the evening. Eventually, Excel starts to impede progress when the data becomes too big.

For the same reasons Excel is not the best tool for your purpose, there will not be a single template that manages your data. These different aspects of the different tasks will need to have their own "home" within access. Each of these modules will need to "speak" to each other. You will need several Entity Relationship Diagrams that relate (talk) to each other. What was linked to before, were examples of a single model (ERD).

If you needed professional help, I may be able to assist. However, there may be a consultant local to your area that is able to visit your place of business.
