Changing Font & Back Color in a Query, depending on the Value

I have had so much help, I cannot thank people enough.

One of my last problems is how to change the color of the background, and the font color, depending on the value in a Query. Example, if an item is SOLD, I would like the background say.. Red, and the font color White Bold, and do nothing if the value is anything else.

I cannot work out if I need an IIF statement (and if so what the syntax statement of that should be) or some other method? The field is called Status

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think you can change background with a query. However, it you used the query as the recordsource of a form, you could use conditional formatting to change colors based on "conditions".

    youtube re conditional formatting

search msaccess conditional formatting for more

    Good luck.
