Image control colors corruped on report preview

    Hi,
    Access 2013-
Ran into a problem when making a report containing pictures shown in an image control (not OLE, attachment). Picture files is external linked from field information (path string). In Forms and Report print and pdf export all Pictures look OK but in 'preview mode' the colors and contrast gets corrupted.
Occurs with image control in Zoom mode. Original size mode gives correct colors but not usable, of course.
Seems not to depend on file format of picture.
Anybody recognizing this behaviour and maybe has a solution?

    Best Regards
    Jan

Have been several threads past few days on same issue. No clear solution. I have noticed this in my db, and I just live with it.

    Thanks June7,
At least I'm not alone there.
Maybe somebody made a workaround with bound/unbound image Control 'slaving' the other?

I simply avoid print preview. When you ask for Print Preview, your report is rendered and (I believe) the image control renders the image in a low resolution. The only option I see for Print Preview is to use low resolution images.

If I need to display a rep[ort I display it as a PDF. I use a temp folder for reports and code to clean up the temp folder. The code error trapping checks for PDF files within the temp folder that may be open before deleting them.

Furthermore, I try to match image resolution for print and screen.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
