Printing out dates correctly

I have problem in printing out dates on the Ceil Inn tutorial. Say I want to print out today's date. April 23, 2015.

Well in the output that I have the printout is 4/23/2015 or 4/23/15. That is by following the tutorial rules.
I want the more elaborate date, not the short hand version.

What must I do to get it?
