General question about due dates - Holidays - Weekends - mental gymnastic

I have read many posts about handling weekends and holidays. I have a general theory question.

My client wants:

If the due date falls on a Monday – I’m supposed to move it up to the previous Friday. Got that.

If the due date falls on a holiday, and that holiday is during the week, (Tues. Wed, Thur, Fri) should I just subtract a day from the due date? And if the holiday falls on the weekend, if its Saturday, should I move it to Thursday (assuming they would have the Friday off), if its Sunday, should I move it to Tuesday assuming they’ll have the Monday off?

Just wondering how anyone else has handled this.

that is your business rule, or at least your company's.
