Current Year Metrics next to Prior Year Metrics Display

I am trying to figure out a way to get prior year metrics next to current year metrics on a report. That is:

Month	Current Year	Prior Year
Jan	42	4
Feb	63	33
Mar	17	73
Apr	93	83
May	88	12
Jun	47	94
Jul	17	1
Aug	88	41
Sep	62	11
Oct	0	63
Nov	99	7
Dec	38	47

The problem lies in the fact that I am querying based on the current year and, of course, my query displays both years worth of data in 1 column, not two separate ones.



Any suggestions?

Maybe a crosstab query but building a stable report based on crosstab is not easy.
