Data from on form to go into another

    Hello,

Iam an absolute access novice and I have been given an access database to try and use /adapt (no one else on the team is fluent with access either unfortunately). I have had some great advice on here whilst setting up my tables and forms but unfortunately, I have another query. I have lots of tables in the database with two separate forms-one a form for logging audits, and one a form for logging action plans. I would ideally like for the audit form to automatically generate a log/ID in the action plan form, with the same ID and project title (to save me going into each form and putting the same info twice. I tried setting up a "relationship" between the tables thinking that this would work but nothing happened to the data (in was in table/form 1 but didn't appear in table/form 2). If anyone feels able to point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Many thanks. Sarah 😊

Why would you duplicate the project title into both tables? Should save only the ID. Consider a form/subform arrangement.

Thank you for advice-I will have a read about subforms. It's because each project title goes on to have an independent action plan after completion/clinical audit review and we will have hundreds on the database. Having the titles visable makes it much easier to complete them.

The titles would be made 'visible' in a report that joins tables.
