I have a numbering system that shows the Report Number as AgencyID-Date-NextNumber. The problem I'm having is that date shows up as 04/07/2015. I want it to show as 20150407. I'm also working on getting the NextNumber to work. I believe for that I have to create a Table. I'm not sure how to populate the Table with the information off the report. Or does the Table have to come from the query the populates the Report?

Manipulate the date with Format() function.
Format([datefield], "yyyymmdd")

Reports should be built from data already in table. What data do you want to save?
