    Formatting Text fields in table

Studying the Bible Access book for 2010, it indicates the formatting a text field for all caps enter a > in the format field. I do this in design mode, go to datasheet view after saving table and enter text into target field. I type a few arbitrary lower case letters and the do not adjust.

As a novice just learning my way around access, I probably misunderstand what the formatting does but will appreciate it if someone will enlighten me.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

The format will take effect when you leave the field

Thank you Ajax, that did the trick. I've been going around in circles wondering what I was doing wrong.
