    Subform Navigation from main form

I am trying to navigate a subform by way of data input into the main form.
The subform is a record of payments to particular contract numbers. The main form data entry point are the various contracts.
I would like to enter or pick from a list of valid contract numbers and have all of the payments to that contract populate in the subform.

The form and subform are set up and I am able scroll through the various contracts by way of the navigation bar on the bottom of the page; however when I try to enter a contract number in the
main form area it does not work. I get an error and I have to close the form.

Have you considered using your control as the Link Child/Master Fields value. It would automatically take care of the filtering for you.
