    Button to backup database ???

I am developing a new Access application. I want to backup my database several times a day. Can I code a button to do a backup without the need to close the database (or close, backup, and then reopen) or copy to a different location, and rename with date/time stamp? If I close the database, I can use my normal backup program to do the backup. After I complete the changes, I will remove the button.

If you're just doing this during development, why not use the built-in backup function. Not sure exactly where it is in v2013, but in v2007 you'd hit the Office button then click on 'Manage' and 'Backup Database.'

The problem with making anything foolproof...is that fools are so darn ingenious!

This is what I have been doing. Then every so often, I do a backup with Genie. I was looking for a "one step" way. Access can do most "anything" with macro, why not backup?? . . .
