    Accessing Another Application

    Hello,

I have been searching a while, and have yet to find an elegant solution to my problem.

Does anyone know how to access the values of edit boxes of another application from within MS Access? I am pretty sure I can send keystrokes, but I need to basically navigate and retrieve values from another app to get the relevant field data. Additionally, some guestimate of how easy this would be to accomplish would be nice

    Thanks for any help!

    - John

    Which application?
If it's something that Access can 'talk' to then there may be a better way otherwise keystokes could be used.

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.

It's nothing that Access can communicate with directly... no API. Keystrokes would have to be used to navigate. However, the question of how to access the individual read-only edit boxes remains.

    Best,
