count occurrences of a letter in multiple fields single record

Hello, I am looking for some help. I have a form of drop down lists where the choices are G, H1, H2, H3, H4, H5. There are 200 fields of these drop down. It's a factory recipe. I need, in the form to know how many of each letter is there. Not for every record in the database, just the current open record.

    Thanks,
    Sam

Not really understanding what you want. There are 200 fields? 200 comboboxes? This does not sound like a normalized data structure.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I agree...not only does it sound like a non-normalized data structure...but your explanation is impossible to follow. Take a deep breath...and try explaining, again, in plain language, your situation.

I realize this is your first post. However, readers do not know you. They have no idea of your environment, your business or your database. And we not familiar with you or your database expertise. We only know what
you tell us. So if you want help from the volunteers on this site you should ask your question within some context.

So please step back and as others have said - give us an overview of the pieces I mentioned and do so in simple plain English.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
