Database for tracking time spent on Engineering drawings and documents

    Hi all,

I am new to database design and am looking for any suggestions or help that may make this an easier task for me. I am creating a database to track how much time is spent working on Eng documents (drawings, specs, calcs). Each drawing may also belong to a change order (ECN,DCN). Many drawings make up a change order and a dwg may be in more than one. Each employee (designer, engineer, checker, etc) is going to need to access a form to input the document worked on, change associated with the doc (if any), and the status of the doc (develop, check, review). The goal is to be able to track the time spent by each employee on each document.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Well you laid out each field - put them side by side plus a StartTime and EndTime field..... just keep things flat and simple to start I believe
