I have made a database where I am tracking assets. It used to be an excel sheet. We have 4 people who edit it (now add or update records) on ocassion. We had an incident where 2 people happened to be working the system at the same time and it caused some data issues.
I am new to databases so I have learnt a few things here. I am supposed to split the databse but I do not really have time right now and I am not fully done making reports and such. The system is basically a jazzed up excel spreadsheet so I can track history of the units being returned anually and make reports on the history.
But
For the moment I want to just restrict it to one user like excel would pop up a warning saying currently being modified by.... I know this is not the best method but I am hoping it is a simple check box or something.
