    Form Combo as Query Criteria

    Hi All.

I have done this many times in the past (but not for a couple years). I am trying to setup a query's criteria based on a form combo (1 column). I have the form open, the criteria in the query is [Forms]![1b) Starting Form].[Combo5] ("1b) Starting Form" = form name, "Combo5" = combo box name. I get error message "The Microsoft Access database engine does not recognize '[Forms]![1b) Starting Form]![Combo5]' as a valid field name or expression. When I open the VB editor... Put ?[Forms]![1b) Starting Form].[Combo5] in the immediate window, I get the expected value of "CCAO", which matches what the combo is showing.

What the Heck am I missing!?

    Thanks.
    Steve

Got it!!!!! In the query, I set the parameters data type and now it works. Don't know if the fact that the query is based off of a crosstab or not.
