    Employee Schedule Database Desgin

I've checked all of my usual resources (these forums, Google, YouTube) and was surprised at the lack of information I found regarding this topic. I am trying to develop a scheduling system for a summer camp I run. I am really just wondering what the best way to design the database would be. I want to include the employee's name, their department, the session they are teaching, time off requests, availability of employees not assigned, etc. I want to be able to generate a report for each area supervisor every week regarding who in their department has time off scheduled, and what sessions everyone is assigned. I'm just struggling to decide what the best way to design it all would be. Are there any free resources available that you know of that I should look into?

You might check out Barry Williams' site at http://www.databaseanswers.com/data_models/index.htm for free data models.
