Using option buttons to report back to table under same field

I have 2 tables, one which lists subjects with an ID number and their title, and another which is called 'options' that enables users to choose which subjects they want to select.

In the 'options' form, I have used option buttons for users to select which subjects they'd like to study.

I can't seem to find a way to pull the data from the form into the table so that for each user it lists all the modules they have selected.

The options table includes: ModuleID, number of options, credits in semester1, credits in semester2 and student ID.

All other parts are fine, but ideally it would break down to show all subjects the student has chosen.

I have a relationship between ModuleID in the subject table and in the options table.

Would be grateful for any help!

Sounds like a many-to-many relationship and need a 'junction' table. This table will associate ModuleID with SubjectID. There will be a record for each pairing. Options for data entry:

    1. single form bound to junction table with comboboxes for ModuleID and SubjectID

    2. main form bound to Modules table and subform bound to junction table with combobox to select subject

    3. main form bound to Subjects table and subform bound to junction table with combobox to select module

My interpretation of your post differs than J7's reply. It sounds to me that you seek to set up a filter-by-form design. The official 'Option Group' control does not allow multiple selections so I presume you have individual controls. When these are selected their value becomes -1. You would need to write a dynamic SQL statement based on the states of these controls. It is an advanced coding exercise. Allen Browne has a filter-by-form example at his excellent web site.
