    Missing or Broken Reference

I recently had to reinstall my operating system. When I restored my data from Carbonite, I got a message in the report regarding an Access Database. When I try to open the file, I get several messages...

Your Microsoft Access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'ABFIELD.OCX' version 1.0

The above message appeared 7 additional times when I clicked on the "OK" button...

The 8th click on the "OK" button produced...

Your Microsoft Access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'OWC10.dll' version 1.0

The above message appears one more time and then the database opens.

Can someone tell me how to fix this problem?

Open the VBA editor. From the menu select Tools > References and your two libraries should be listed as: MISSING...

If you have code dependent on these references, you will probably have to find the ABFIELD.OCX and OWC10.dll files somewhere, maybe on the web, and install them. Search the web - here are two:
    http://originaldll.com/file/abfield.ocx/20217.html

Otherwise, just uncheck them and see if your code errors.

I unchecked the two that were marked as "MISSING", closed the file and reopened it with no errors. Thank you.
