You can base the form on a query with the appropriate sort or use the OrderBy property of the form.

In the Properties tab of the form, type the name of the date field and ASC or DESC depending on the direction you want. E.g. - [DateField] ASC

I have looked at the properties tab in the form but I still do not know where to do what you're suggesting.Forgive my ignorance but I am still learning

Order By is on the Data tab of Properties Sheet.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
