    Conditional formatting and enabled/locked settings

    Hello!

Feeling kinda stupid here. In order to highlight the background of my form (using conditional formatting), I created an unbound text box. I have set Locked to yes and Enabled to no, yet I can still click into the box and type??? Tab Stop=no, Autotab=no...what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!!

How does conditional formatting 'highlight' form background?

    Cannot replicate textbox issue.

If you wan to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

You shouldn't be able to click in there with Locked = Yes and Enabled = No; I'd double-check that you don't have the Properties set backwards...stuff happens!

Barring that, it's always possible that the Textbox is corrupted! Testing for this and fixing it is one and the same; delete the current Textbox and re-create it.

Thank you June7 and Ling. I recreated the text box and all is well.
