open record, attachment from report

I am struggling with 2 aspects of reports:

1) Ho w do I open a specific record form from a report? I'd like to create a report and then be able to open the record to make some modification to the data from the report. How do I do that?

2) I have wav files in the data set (from voice mails), and I can play them from the record set in the underlying table (double click on the table entry opens a player with the wav file), but that does not seem to work when I double click the wav file in the report. How do I enable that? (It does work in the form, so an answer to question 1 might answer this question as well).

You should be able to use this method:

but the report would have to be opened in Report view, not Preview, which is not interactive.
