    Query/Report Record Grouping/Totaling

    Good Morning,

    I am in need of some assistance with creating reports for employees in my organization:

    I am trying to generated a query/report based upon monthly test results....each employees has 5 test every month....and the report I want to create is for each individual employee with their total score of the 5 tests. Currently my reports shows the employee 5 times and does not sum up the total of the scores for each particular month. I am sure this is an easy layup for some of you....so please assist!!

    Currently Displayed as:

    Date Employee TEAM Total Score
    10/01/14 Employee A 1 17.5


    10/01/14 Employee A 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee A 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee A 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee A 1 17.5

    10/01/14 Employee B 1 17.5
    10/01/14 Employee B 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee B 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee B 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee B 1 15
    10/01/14 Employee C 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee C 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee C 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee C 1 20
    10/01/14 Employee C 1 20


    I want it to display as:

    Date Employee TEAM Total Score
    10/01/14 Employee A 1 95
    10/01/14 Employee B 1 92.5
    10/01/14 Employee C 1 100

    Options:

    1. build an aggregate (GROUP BY) Totals query and use it as the report RecordSource

    2. set report Grouping on the employee ID and date, do aggregate calcs in group footer, make the Detail section not visible
