    Field Not Recognized

    Hey,

I have a report that gives overall profitability information as well as the % of each product class the customer has purchased. I am running into an issue with the % of each product class purchased. When a customer has purchased something from each category everything displays in the report correct. However, if they have not purchased from a particular product class I get an error message saying it doesn't recognize the field where that product class would be listed and it completely omits the entire sub report. This can easily be fixed by running the customer that didn't purchase something from each product class with a customer that has purchased from each product class. Doing this results in a blank spot in the final report while still showing the other numbers.

My question is can I get the report to simply generate a blank field without having to include an additional customer?

There are only 8 possible product classes.

    Thanks

You need an outer join to show what they did AND didnt purchase.
I would outer join the purchases with the product class table to get ALL products. Things they didnt order will have blank qty (0) and thus fix your %.
