Access database - remote login

Hi, just throwing this out there in the hope that I can get others' perspectives and possibly a relevant solution. Currently end users in remote locations connect to our database via citrix. They have the following complaints:

• speed is frustratingly slooow
• there is delayed response between typing and 'seeing' the output on the screen,
• users get bumped off the network after some minutes and unsaved data gets lost.

I highly appreciate suggestions on how to resolve these issues.
