Form Master/Child linked fields created automatically

I have a master form that's acting as a frame for a number of other forms that are contained in a tab control. The master form isn't linked to any data source and doesn't even hold any data. There isn't any relationship between the master and the various children (much like with soap opera families). The master form is just a holding place for the tab control. The children forms are dependent on the control, but nothing else on the master form.

My problem is that occasionally I have noticed that I get a 'parameter question box' when opening the master form asking for ID. I will open the form in design mode and find that suddenly the ID field is listed in the Linked Master/Child fields in the property sheet. I clear them out and everything is fine, until it isn't. I can't tell if there's something I'm doing, but I'll find the same issue has happened again, even though I cleared out the linked fields.

Anybody know why this is happening and what I can do to stop it? Or is it a funkiness with Access I'll have to live with and program around?

    Thanks,

If you dont have a MASTER, then there should be no subforms.
As in: no settings in the linke master/child settings on any form you use.

Check the query on whatever form you opened, (or tab). Its looking for something thats not there. (a field, a param, etc.)
