Best Practise Query a Query or Query a Table

    Hi,

I have a table [tbltransactions] and I made a query [qrytransactionsAll] on the table splitting debits and credits adding vendor details etc, etc. I then used the [qrytransactionsAll] to carry out subsequent queries rather than doing some repetitive coding.

When I run the analyzer it recommends I link the original [tbltransaction] to the subsequent queries, is there a best common practice regarding this?

I've never used table analyzer so I just ran it.

I don't know why it would recommend you include the table in subsequent queries.

So there is no "general rule" on when to query tables or queries?

Just for clarification the analyzer says "create a relationship"

Use whatever the situation calls for. Using queries within queries is essential for complex data manipulation.

I see no reason to create relationships with queries in the relationship builder.
