We've been trying to diagnose some LAN issues that are causing a bottleneck for a third party .Net application that uses an Access database. The database is on our server, and the .Net application is on our various workstations. When we update the database from one of the workstations, we were expecting our packet sniffer to see a burst of traffic going between the particular workstation and the server, but we're not seeing anything. What network protocol(s) would a .Net app use when transacting with an Access database over a LAN? FYI we're using Windows 7 Pro SP1, and our packet sniffer is Wireshark. Any info or suggestions appreciated! :-)
