Opening Form to Specific record/add new info

Hi, I have a form for Job information and another form for entering more detailed financial information for each Job. I would like to be able to enter the basic information in the first form, and then hit a command button to enter information, for that same job, in the second form. These forms enter data into two separate tables, which are linked in a one to one relationship by job number.

This seems like it should be pretty easy to do, but I haven't been able to work it out

    Thank you for your help

Yes, you need a MASTER / CHILD form. The master table has the Job info. The child form lets you enter info about that job.
(link the child form to the master key)

You may find samples in the tutorials at Martin Green's site.
    This one may help.
There is also lots of info on dynamic reports and using forms to capture parameters by Martin Green.
    Good luck.
